New Broughton is a former industrial village located in Denbighshire, immediately west of the outskirts of Wrexham, from which it is separated by barely more than the A483 dual carriageway.
The village is immediately south of Brynteg, at the southern edge of a small conurbation of villages. It also has Southsea to the north-west and Caego to the east. The 2011 census recorded a population of 3,448.
The village is widely regarded a working-class area, though in recent years, new housing estates have been built and attracted more middle-class families, who tend to live just outside the village, on the hill.
