National Museums Northern Ireland

National Museums Northern Ireland, formerly known as the National Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland, is a bureaucracy governing a series of museums in Ulster. It is based at Cultra in County Down and looks after the:
- Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh
- Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra
- Ulster Museum, Belfast.

The organisation is sponsored by the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure[1] to promote 'history, art, science and the culture of the people of Northern Ireland'.
In 2018, National Museums Northern Ireland joined with the National Maritime Museum, Titanic Belfast and Titanic Foundation Limited in a failed bid to purchase 5,500 relics for the RMS Titanic that were an asset of the bankrupt Premier Exhibitions.[2][3][4][5]
