Information

Nare Head is a headland on the south coast of Cornwall, which forms part of a coastline belonging to the National Trust. The South West Coast Path runs around Nare Head.

The headland juts into the English Channel east of St Anthony Head and west of the Dodman (both of which headlands are also owned by the National Trust). It is an unforgiving, rocky point, like so much of this coast, but bright in summertime with gorse and heather.

Gerran Bay from Nare Head

Gerrans Bay opens up to the west of the headland, sweeping round in a sandy curve towards Trewithian and on to St Anthony's Head.

Kilberick Cove

Kilberick Cove

To the east of the headland is Kilberick Cove, an accessible stony beach, fringed with rough cliffs, with a gap for hardy visitors permitting solitude, if no one else has had the same idea.
