Mount Rosalie is a 1,398-foot peak located in the very north of West Falkland, amongst the Falkland Islands. It overlooks the north end of Falkland Sound, giving it a strategic value during the Falklands War of 1982. The mountain is at the easternmost end of a ridge stretching westwards: immediately to the west is a line of tops known as the Six Hills.
Rosalie was used by Argentinian forces as an observation post during the Falklands War. HMS Plymouth of the Royal Navy bombarded the Argentinian positions on the mountain, sailing there from the haven established at San Carlos Water.[1]
