Trig point on Minto Hill

Minto is a village and parish north of the River Teviot in Roxburghshire almost midway between the towns of Hawick and Jedburgh.

Minto House is close by, as are Ancrum, Belses, Bonjedward, Fatlips Castle, Hassendean, Lilliesleaf, and Old Belses. In 1992 Minto House was listed as Category A, and largely demolished within weeks.[1][2]
