The Raith Cottage Road Bridge carries the M74 motorway over the River Clyde on a single a 164-foot span between junction 5 (the Raith Interchange) and junction 6 (Hamilton). It is a dual-three lane motorway bridge, carrying both carriageways of the M74.

The Larkhall Hamilton Uddingston Bypass was the first part of the M74 motorway to be completed, with the section between J5 and 6 completed as part of Stage 2 in 1968.
