Information

The Clyde Bridge is a road bridge in Lanarkshire which carries the A723 road across the River Clyde between Motherwell and Hamilton, to the Hamilton Interchange of the M74 motorway.

The bridge was built in 1831. In 2011 the local council undertook a £38,000 renovation of the steel girder bridge to strengthen the underwater supports, following Government advice after several bridges were washed away in flooding.[1]
