The Lower Clydach River is a river which rises on the slopes of Mynydd Betws in Carmarthenshire west of Cwmgors and flows for around six miles through Cwm Clydach to its confluence with the River Tawe at Clydach in Glamorgan. For 1,500 yards from the source it forms the county border between Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan.
Further along its course, it runs through the RSPB's Cwm Clydach Nature Reserve[1] just to the north of Clydach.
