Little Bookham is a village in Surrey at the northern edge of the North Downs. It stands next to and has now largely grown into Great Bookham. Close by it too are Effingham and Fetcham.
Bookham railway station is found in Little Bookham.
Great Bookham and Little Bookham together are known as The Bookhams, grown from the ancient village of Bookham. The village's name is from the Old English Bocham, meaning "beech-home".
The Bookhams are surrounded by common land. Great Bookham is the larger village but Little Bookham has the railway station. Both are on the A246 which is the main road between Leatherhead and Guildford. Having once separated into two distinct villages, the Bookhams have spread into one another through new residential roads reaching between, such that it appears all as one large village of Bookham.
