Lamington is a village in Lanarkshire, sitting roughly between Biggar and Lanark, astride the A702 trunk road. It is considered a 'conservation village'.
This village is reputed to be the home of Marion Braidfute, legendary wife of William Wallace.[1]
Popular culture
Lamington features in the 1810 novel The Scottish Chiefs by Jane Porter.[2]
