Kirkton of Glenisla is a village in Glen Isla, Angus. It is stands by the River Isla, eleven miles north-west of Kirriemuir and ten miles north of Blairgowrie, on the B951 road.
The village consists of a church and graveyard, a hotel, and several holiday cottages.
The 64-mile, waymarked Cateran Trail runs by the village.
The Small Monument
The Patrick Small Monument stands across the ford on the west bank of the River Isla opposite the Kirkton of Glenisla village. This imposing obelisk stands on elevated ground and can be seen from around the village. Erected by the community, it stands in honor of Patrick William Small, a local land owner who died in 1870.
