Ivington is a village in Herefordshire, on the south bank of the River Arrow. It is to be found about 13 miles north of Hereford, and two miles south-west of Leominster.
Surrounding villages include Ivington Green, Stag Batch, Newtown and Brierley.
Ivington has a small church, St John, and a Church of England Primary School.
Name
Ivington is recorded as Ivintune in the Domesday Book of 1086. The name derives from the Old English Ifan tun, meaning 'Ifa’s estate (or farmstead)'[1]
