The remains of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Thetford

Holy Sepulchre Church, Thetford was a mediæval monastic house in Thetford, which is now an atmospheric ruin. The site is on the south bank of the River Little Ouse, which here divides Suffolk to the south from Norfolk to the north. Holy Sepulchre Priory stands on the Suffolk bank, looking out across the river to the remains of Thetford Priory in Norfolk.

The ruined nave of this 14th-century church are the only surviving remains of a priory of Canons of the Holy Sepulchre, an order who aided pilgrims to Christ's tomb in Jerusalem in th Middle Ages, hence the name of the priory.
