Hollington is a village of Sussex which has become no more than a council estate in the north-west of Hastings. The area lies next to Baldslow, and less than five miles southeast of Battle, where the Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066.

There was once a manor house here, known as The Grove; later replaced with a school. The Grove was the manor house for the Lords of the Manor of Hollington.[1][2] The Levett family built The Grove, and then the property was carried into the Eversfield family by a Levett heiress.[3][4][5] When Lawrence Levett died without issue, he left his estate to his sister Mary, wife of Thomas Eversfield, and so the manor came into the Eversfield family: the Eversfield family, would go on to play a prominent role for centuries.[3]

The Griove was replaced by a school. The school buildings were demolished in 2017 and the land was earmarked for housing development.

The Hollington Stream runs from Silverhill, through Hollington Wood towards the sea at Bulverhythe.
