Hallyne is a hamlet in Peeblesshire, standing beside the Lyne Water and the A72 road, half a mile from the River Tweed.
There are ancient remains in the hills here, including the earthworks of a Roman fort in a bend in the river, and a hill fort on Hamildean Hill the hill to the north-west. A Roman camp has been found at nearby Lyne.
