Glyn Tarell is a civil community in Brecknockshire, to the south-west of the county town, Brecon. In 2011 the population was 614.[1] Glyn Tarell derives its name from the local river, the River Tarell.

It lies entirely within the Brecon Beacons national park and contains the second-highest peak in South Wales, Corn Du. The A470 road traverses in a north-south direction through the valley of the River Tarell, providing access to Brecon from the south.
