Gartly is a hamlet and parish in Aberdeenshire. It sits on a tributary of the River Deveron, the River Bogie, to the east of which the parish forms a detached part of Banffshire. As well as Gartly itself, the parish also encompasses Bridgend, Culdrain, Kirkney, Kirkstile and Tillathrowie. The village itself is situated on the A97 road at the extreme south of the parish, several miles south of the town of Huntly which forms its post town.
Pupils are zoned to attend Gartly Primary School and the Gordon Schools, Huntly.[1]
