Foster Plateau is found to the south-east of Charlotte Bay on the Danco Coast of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory. The plateau extends over 80 square miles between the Drygalski Glacier and Hektoria Glacier. It is part of ice cap of north-central Graham Land, rising to about 7,050 feet.

The plateau was photographed from the air by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition, 1956-57, and surveyed and traversed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from "Portal Point", October-November 1957. The plateau is named after Richard Arthur Foster (b.1929), the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey Base Leader, "Danco Island" in 1956-1958.[1]
