Forbidden Plateau rises to about 6,500 feet above sea level on the south-east of Andvord Bay and Wilhelmina Bay on the Danco Coast of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory.
The plateau was photographed from the air by the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition and surveyed from the ground in its northern part by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from "Danco Island", 1956-57. It was so named because all attempts to reach the plateau failed until a difficult route up Bayly Glacier was found..
