Farr is a small hamlet and vast parish on the north coast of Sutherland. The parish has an area of 416 square miles. Farr has eight neighbouring parishes, namely Kildonan, Clyne and Rogart to the south-east, Lairg to the south-west, Durness and Tongue to the north-west, and the Caithness parishes of Reay and Halkirk to the east.
The village of Bettyhill (otherwise Bettyhill of Farr) lies less than a mile to the west of the hamlet along the A836 road.
