Dunnose Head is a headland of West Falkland, and also the name of a small settlement there.

The headland itself is not close to the settlement but sharing a peninsula, which is known broadly as Dunnose Head. The peninsula is a long projection of the west coast of West Falkland, between Queen Charlotte Bay to the south and King George Bay to the south. The peninsula encloses the great natural harbour of Port Philomel, joined to Queen Charlotte Bay and the open sea by the narrow water of the Philomel Pass.

Off the uttermost headland stretch out the Passage Islands, sequentially the imaginatively named First Island, Second Island, Third Island and Fourth Island.

Settlement

Dunnose Head settlement stands on the south side of the peninsula, on the north shore of Philomel Pass, about 50 miles west-southwest of Port Howard, to which it has no proper road connection, but a long track trails over to Fox Bay and thence to the West Falkland Road.

This place used to be part of Packe Brothers Ltd holdings, but on sub-division was formed into three farms. Two of these were based on the old settlement, these were Narrows Farm (covering the old Packe's area East of the Settlement), and Dunnose Head Farm (covering the old Centre Camp and Stud Flock). The other farm was based on Shallow Harbour House, which is west of the old settlement, and covers the old Packe's Ewe Camps which were named South and North Camps plus Raus Creek.
