Darbel Islands
The Darbel Islands are a group of small islands and rocks on the north side of the entrance to Darbel Bay, indenting the Loubet Coast of Graham Land in the British Antarctic Territory. The group consists of one main island with smaller islands and rocks about it.
The name Kapp Bellue was apparently applied to the north-west point of the main island, but is not used today. Following a survey of the area by Discovery Investigations in 1930-1931, these islands were confused with the Bragg Islands, to which Discovery Investigations applied the name 'Marin Darbel Islands', in association with Darbel Bay.
The islands were surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from "Detaille Island" in 1957, and named the Darbel Islands. The main island is named 'Darbel Island'. Two smaller islands on the north-east side of the group have the names 'Depot Islet' and 'Outer Islet'.
