Damschroder Rock is part of the Pecora Escarpment, itself part of the Pensacola Mountains of Queen Elizabeth Land in the British Antarctic Territory.
This mountain rises to 5,230 feet on west side of the Pecora Escarpment. It was surveyed from the ground by the United States Geological Survey in the 1961-62 season and photographed from the air by the United States Navy in 1964. It is named after Gerald H. Damschroder, a United States Navy construction mechanic at 'Plateau Station' in Norway's Dronning Maud Land over the winter of 1966.
