Coalcleugh is a hamlet in Northumberland, high in the Pennines between Penrith (in Cumberland) and Hexham.
In former days, Coalcleugh was well known as a lead mining centre.[1][2] All of Coalcleugh's lead ore was smelted at Allenheads Mill at Dirtpot.[3] By 2008 only one house was inhabited.
