History

The history of the village can be traced with certainty to the Domesday Book, which contains an entry for Christletone, though there is evidence of earlier occupation.

The Old Hall dates from the 17th century. It was built for a member of the Egerton family of Tatton Park.[1]

Christleton Old Hall is a former country house in the village and a Grade II* listed building.
