St Michael and all Angels, Cascob

Cascob is a small village and ancient parish in the Radnor Hundred of Radnorshire. It is located in a valley five miles to the south-west of Knighton. For civil purposes it forms part of the community of Whitton. The village is situated to the east of Radnor Forest, an area of moorland. It also lies to the north-west of the small town of Kington in Herefordshire.

The township of Litton and Cascob, which is partly in Cascob and partly in Presteigne, forms a detached part of Herefordshire.

The parish church, dedicated to St Michael is a Grade-II* listed building. It is mediæval in origin, possibly on a pre-Christian sacred site. It is a pleasing example of a small regional parish church, with a typical Radnorshire plain single-cell nave. It has two bells dated 1633.
