Caherduff Castle is a fortified tower house in County Mayo, standing north of Lough Corrib, by Caheruff a mile and a half north-west of Cross.
History
The townland takes its name from the Irish for "black fort."[1]
Caherduff Castle was acquired by the Crown in 1918, and is now in the care of the Irish state.[2]
