Bweeng is a little village in County Cork, located some nine miles south-west of the town of Mallow in that county, on the R619 regional road.[1]
The nearest railway station is Mallow on the Mallow-Tralee and Dublin-Cork railway lines.

About the village
The village also has one pub (Molly's), a community centre, playing field and walkway.
The village is served by the local primary school, Bweeng National School, which was opened in 1953.
Sport and recreation
- Gaelic athletics: Kilshannig GAA, the team for Bweeng, Dromahane, Lombardstown and Glantane. The club's headquarters are O'Connell Park in Glantane.
The Blackwater Way long distance walking route runs through Bweeng. It is here that the two routes combined to create the 'Blackwater Way' meet; the Avondhu Way (that has come over the Knockmealdown Mountains and the Nagles Mountains) and the Duhallow Way, which head up over the Boggeragh Mountains and Derrynasaggart Mountains.
