Butteryhaugh is a hamlet in Northumberland, immediately to the south of Kielder, and arguably may be treated as a part of the latter, though separated with sufficient green space to be treated on its own merits. Butteryhaugh is deep within the Kielder Forest, on the Kielder Burn above the Bakethin Reservoir.

The village runs close together with Kielder. Butteryhaugh was intended to be the second of five villages to be built in the area to accommodate forestry workers at Kielder Forest. With the mechanisation of forest activities and hence the need for fewer men, the final three villages were never constructed.

The village is just two miles from the boundary with Roxburghshire.
