Buckland is a village near (and now merged with) Dover. It sits in the steep valley of the River Dour which runs down into Dover Harbour, just a mile and a half to the south-east of Buckland. Above the valley is a new developed village, Buckland Valley.
The village is noted for the Buckland Anglo-Saxon cemetery whose finds now belong to the British Museum but are on display at Dover Museum.
