Broadstone is a hamlet in a cluster of barely distinguishable hamlets to the west of Cleddon and Llandogo, which are on the western bank of the River Wye in Monmouthshire.
The River Wye is tidal here, a broadening stream forming the county's eastern border, in a steep, wooded valley with Broadstone, Catbrook and their sister hamlets above the valley wall, between the woods and the hills. To the east across the river is Gloucestershire, to which the closest bridge is at Tintern to the south.
