Brixton is a village in south Devon, near Plymouth. It stands on the land above two brooks which run down to enter the tidal River Yealm just south of the village, and is found on the A379 Plymouth to Kingsbridge road, about 6 miles east of Plymouth. Its population in 2001 was 1,207.

To the east of Brixton is Yealmpton on the Yealm, and Brixton enjoys views down to the creek and estuary of the River Yealm.

The parish church, St Mary's, is 15th century, with a tower arch 200 years older.
