Bouth is a village in Lancashire, comfortably inland but half a mile from the tidal reach of the Rusland Pool, a tributary river of the River Leven. There is a meeting of lanes here as the old routes resolve themselves between those heading south-west into the Furness peninsula and those for Cartmel
The village's pub, The White Hart, was shown in the mercifully short-lived ITV sitcom Not with a Bang.
