Biglands is a hamlet in the north of Cumberland, towards the Solway coast of the county, west of Carlisle. It is located to the north of Gamelsby.

The first milefortlet is located here on the west end of Hadrian's Wall, and archaeological exploration in the area has revealed three periods of occupation in the second century, between 125-180/200.[1][2]

There was once a school at Biglands, but it closed and was incorporated with Wiggonby school in 1959.[3]
