Aughton is a hamlet adjacent to the village of Collingbourne Kingston in Wiltshire.
Aughton takes its name from Æffe, the owner in the 10th century. After Æffe's death, the land passed to Hyde Abbey in Winchester, and the estate was merged with Collingbourne Kingston manor.[1]
Aughton House was built in the 17th century.[2]
