Ashurst is a village in Sussex, about two miles west of Henfield, and eleven miles south of Horsham on the B2135 road. The village is about half a mile west of the River Adur.
The parish church, St James, is of the 12th-century. Laurence Olivier lived in the village in his latter days, and his funeral was held in this church.[1]
The local pub is the Fountain Inn.
The 2011 Census recorded the population as 279.
