Aldercar is a village in Derbyshire, attached to the townscape of Heanor, north of the town itself. The village is beside near Langley Mill, close to the county boundary with Nottinghamshire, here formed by the River Erewash.
The area is mainly known for Aldercar High School, the local secondary school. The area is also home to Aldercar Hall down Aldercar lane, one of the first houses in the area.[1]
