Information |
Wharton Bridge is a narrow, single-arched humpback packhorse bridge over the River Ive in Cumberland, joining Ivegill with Skelton. Today it serves as a footbridge carrying a footpath between the two villages.
The bridge was built in the early eighteenth century, and it constructed of mixed sandstone rubble, with a solid, irregular rubble parapet. The bridge is a Grade II listed structure.[1]
