The Vale of Evesham is a fertile plain sweeping in a crescent shape through western Worcestershire and watered by the River Avon. It lies to the south of the town of Evesham, from which it takes it name.
The Vale is largely on the broad floodplain on the southern bank of the Avon. It stretches from the Warwickshire border to where the Avon meets the hill and swings south toward the River Severn.
The Vale is famed for its fruit, and has made Evesham a centre of market gardening for centuries.
