NewbuildingsNewbuildings or New Buildings is a large village in County Londonderry, found about half a mile from the banks of the River Foyle and three miles south of the city of Londonderry. It had a population of 3,381 in the 2011 Census. The village was founded in the early 17th century as part of the Plantation of Ulster on land allocated to the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths of London. (Read more) |
