Newtown is village in eastern Cheshire, on the west bank of the River Goyt, which marks the county border with Derbyshire: across the river stands New Mills, a town in the latter county.
Here in Newtown is New Mills Newtown railway station, which serves both.
Newtown stands on the road to Disley.
