Hutton Magna is a village in the northernmost part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, in Teesdale, amongst the Pennines.
It is to the south of the River Tees, at the top of a minor stream (known here as the Hutton Beck but which changes its name repeatedly downstream before eventually entering the Tees). A mile to the north, on the bank of the Tees, is Ovington, and a mile to the south the dual carriageway of the A66.
