Am Fraoch Eilean is an uninhabited island in the Inner Hebrides, lying in the Sound of Jura, between the Isles of Jura and Islay in Argyllshire.
The island lies a mile off from Ardfin on Jura. Brosdale Island is to the east. Its name is Gaelic and means "the heather isle"[1] though it was was formerly called "Ellan Charne".
In the island stand the ruins of Claig Castle.[2]
