Anstey is a village in Hertfordshire, about fifteen miles northeast of Stevenage. According to the 2001 census the population of the parish was 338.

The parish church is St George; a substantial church for such a small village, built in the Gothic style, its tower topped with a Hertfordshire spike.

There is at least one book on the history of this village, entitled "Anstey, a Hertfordshire Parish" written in 1929 by Rev Frank Ricardo Williams, MA. He was the rector from 1907–28 (and died on 19 May 1937).
