Bevill's Leam at Pondersbridge

Pondersbridge is a hamlet on the border of Cambridgeshire with Huntingdonshire, all within the fenland, at TL262920.

Pondersbridge is strung along the on the B1040 road which run from Whittlesey in the north to Ramsey St Mary's in the south, and the minor road from there to Ramsey Mereside. The B1040 crosses ober Bevill's Leam here, hence the hamlet's name, and crosses the county boundary a few yards on.

The village does have a church; the Church of St. Thomas,[1] which is just on the Huntingdonshire side.

There was once a pub in Pondersbridgecalled The Green Man, which was in existence in 1916.[2]
