Milton Street is a hamlet in Sussex, nestled beneath the escarpment of the South Downs about seven miles north-west of Eastbourne, and a mile north-east of [Alfriston]]. To the east is Wilmington, its neighbour beneath the scarp. The Cuckmere River snakes by to the west and here it becomes tidal, at the gap it makes through the Downs.

This small place has one pub, the Sussex Ox.

Milton Street was the setting of an episode of The Goon Show in which determined efforts are made to extinguish the sun.[1]
