Litchfield Island is a tiny island forming the west side of Arthur Harbour, to the south of Anvers Island, the major isle of the Palmer Archipelago in the British Antarctic Territory.

The island was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1955 and named 'Litchfield Islet' after Douglas Bernard Litchfield (b.1927), the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey general assistant at "Arthur Harbour", 1955-56, who took part in survey and hydrographic work in the area.

The island was designated a Special Protection Area, SPA No.17, under the Antarctic Treaty.
