Littleborough is a hamlet in the north of Nottinghamshire, on the west bank of the River Trent eight miles east of Retford, in the wider civil parish of Sturton le Steeple.
This hamlet is the site of the Roman town of Segelocum or Agelocum, built where the road between (Lindum) Lincoln and Danum Doncaster bridged or forded the Trent.
The parish church, St Nicholas' Church, Norman in age, and contains some Roman tiles in its stonework.[1] It is a Grade I listed building.[2] It has been declared redundant and is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.[3]
