Aston is a village in the Peak District of Derbyshire, in the High Peak near Hope.
The 2001 census recorded a population of 100, increasing to 155 with Ashopton at the 2011 Census.
The name of the village is from the Old English east tun, meaning 'East farm (or village)'.[1])
