Looking over Dennis Loch on Denns Ness

Dennis Ness is the easternmost headland of South Ronaldsay, which is Orkney's northernmost and easternmost island.

The headland stretches out to 'Dennis Head, which is accordingly Orkney's easternmost point (reaching slightly further east than Start Point on Sanday immediately to the south).

On the ness stands the North Ronaldsay Lighthouse. On Dennis Point itself though is the Dennis Head Old Beacon, a ruined stone lighthouse built in 1789, decommissioned in 1809.
